yeah, word choice, or lack of qualification on my part. Oh well

Life isn't safe. Its a matter of choosing what is and isn't acceptable risks. That little saw and attachment for me falls under 'not acceptable'.
Also, I'm pretty sure if I dug that HF package out, nowhere on it would I find a 'use with guard, accessory #X'. I'd be surprised if it even had a blurb about 'use appropriate safety equipment'.

Come on, Nick, It's Harbor Freight! I have yet to get anything from Harbor Freight that comes with even instructions. Not at all surprised that it wouldn't come with a warning. And it's a knockoff blade, rarely do you find them pointing out parts and accessories from other manufacturers.

That was pretty much my point, yes.

In Summation! Don't cut your fingers off! Now, let's stop this vicious thread derailment!

Yeah, I will probably use a jigsaw when my grandpa comes up on Thursday. The tree house has only half of the flooring done, and I can borrow it.

Sounds good, make sure to drill all the corners and just take it slow. No sense messing it up just to be done a few minutes sooner. :)

Okay, thanks for the tip:) Does anyone know where to get a drive train? Also how to make a rudder, or is it differential thrust?

No differential thrust. My personal favorite way to make rudders is shown in Mike's Bearn build. (hotlink takes you right to the rudder build post)

exacto knife worked good for cutting the tops loose for me. windows i would go with a multitool. less heat than a dremmel cutoff disk. hacksaw worked well and is cheap and easy if your only building one

The dust that a multi tool generates is less fine and doesn't get airborne. Kind of like a hacksaw but faster, you still need holes in the corners.
Cutoff wheels generate too much dust and must be used outside with a box fan to blow the dust away.

you would get a decent arm workout I'd guess. Not really how I'd want to do it, but maybe you have more time than me. Better off mowing a few yards (whats that pay these days?) and buying the proper tool for the job.

    Hello,

I have just rediscovered the hull in our garage and have discovered holes in the bow and stern. Don't look like mouse nibbles or the such. I am planning on working on it again over the summer. Anybody have tips on how to patch? Sugru maybe?
