Hello Everyone I am new to this hobby and am trying to find hull plans for the USS North Carolina. I have some plans from strike models but I am not sure how to build the hull. Do any of you have some good ideas for me. Thank you

    Austin

Welcome Austin. Before you jump into a build, here are some general recommended first steps

    1) Introduce yourself, relevant background, where located

    2) Figure out the closest active club to your location. In the IRCWCC (largest active club), I think the closest group to Iowa would be Port Polar Bear out of Minnesota. You should find out how often they have events, and event size for perspective

    3) For first ship, members of the 'local' club might have some mothballed boats they would be willing to part ways with. They could also help you decide what ship would be good if you want to build on your own. Generally speaking, starting with a wood hull will be more difficult than starting with fiberglass, but some people have been successful starting with wood
