Anyone have a method for cutting square holes in plastic? I cannot find a plastic ladder the correct size to replicate windows...

Depending on the type & thickness of the plastic:
Get square "tubing" of the desired size from hobby shop, sharpen edge w/ grinder, then use as a punch
If the plastic is too thick, possibly heat the punch and melt your windows in.

If the windows are larger than the available metal, double up as needed. Or if the windows are significantly large, use a screwdriver tip as a chisel to punch the top, bottom, and sides of each window.

Or purchase a woodcarving tool which cuts 90 degree corners.
It will be easier if you drill first then chop out the square corners.

Thanks guys. The measurements are 1/4 wide, with a 1/8 beam between windows. Looked at 90 degree cutters, everything was too large or could deform the plastic between the windows. So, i used a small drill for each of the window corners, then a brand new exacto blade to cut out. Finished with a small file. The area I am talking about are the long promenade windows that span the length of the ship.
Decided late last night to make a master and cast in termite armor, this way when the yammato blasts away I won't have as much to fix. Pics soon

If you have access to a 3d printer there are several to choose from in the resources section. Mark jenks has kindly provided a plethora of small boats to choose from, as well as many other resources. The ones Lou has mite be the molded style.. Welcome to the forum and hope to see you on the water, Craig
